Pomona Gardens gets much-needed spruce up!

Greenfingers are proud to support Great Places Housing Group by providing ornamental grasses, perennials, soil and mulch in our latest CSR project at Pomona Gardens.

Pomona Gardens is a sheltered scheme for homeless and vulnerable people within Trafford. During lockdown, residents were enjoying the good weather and decided to take ownership of the garden. They painted the greenhouse and started to grow their own vegetables and herbs.

It was really rewarding for Great Places Housing to see the garden utilised in this way and to keep the momentum going, Greenfingers wanted to get involved and help out. This was such a worthy cause as it’s really surprising how much of a difference a little bit of TLC can make. The team are really proud of what we’ve been able to achieve with the site, thanks to our donation of maintenance supplies.
