Greenfingers care about the local community

Greenfingers constantly support their local communities to help improve local outdoor places, each month they complete a number of CSR projects and this month is no exception. Pendleside Hospice is care home in Burnley that promotes and enhances the quality of life for people with life-limiting illness, by delivering specialist and holistic palliative care, an organisation that Greenfingers believe deserves their support and help.

Greenfingers revamped the grounds by tidying and cleaning up the gardens, as well as strimming and cutting the hedges of an overgrown wild area in preparation for a new redevelopment. The team were onsite for half a day and all their hard work was free of charge, the team find undertaking work like this rewarding and enjoy turning the grounds into an area that can be enjoyed for the residents.

Helen, Chief Executive at Pendleside Hospice was thrilled with efforts of the Greenfingers team, “a big thank you to Scott, Simon and Jake from Greenfingers for volunteering their time to support our volunteer gardeners this week, the area looks so much better and the gardens look lovely for our patients, their support is really appreciated!!”
