Greenfingers awarded contract with Housing & Care 21 in Oldham

Greenfingers renews full grounds maintenance contract for leading social landlord Housing & Care 21 in Oldham. The 5 year contract, was awarded by Housing & Care 21 (HC21), who have a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract with Oldham Council to provide social housing services.

The Oldham PFI facilities consists of 603 flats in 19 sheltered schemes, this scheme also includes 1 new build extra care facility and 820 bungalows. The previous grounds maintenance contract was also held by Greenfingers and undertaken by a team led by Contract Manager, Chris Wood.

HC21 is a not-for-profit, leading provider of Retirement Housing and Extra Care services for older people of modest means. As a Registered Social Landlord and charitable organisation with over 50 years’ experience, Housing & Care 21 set out to provide housing of the highest standards to residents, whilst also ensuring they get best value for money.

The grounds maintenance services Greenfngers will deliver during the contract include grass cutting and maintenance, planting and maintaining borders and shrubberies, hedge & shrub pruning, weed control services, environmental hygiene, leaf clearance & litter picking and external cleaning.
