Community Centre Garden’s reinvigorated thanks to Greenfingers

8th Jul 2020

Working with Greenfingers is more than just a contractor client relationship, yes, we are there to maintain your grounds but to us it’s much more than this. Getting involved and supporting the communities that we work in, is very important to us, so when our client Trident contacted us to help out with their community centre, that had deteriorated due to the pandemic a full team was onsite within 24 hours completing the necessary work.

Bernadette McFall, Social & Community Engagement Manager commented:

“The coronavirus pandemic has stopped many of the things we would usually do and brought about an increase in awareness of the importance of green space for health.

Trident Reach’s Community Centre, Deelands Hall in Rubery Birmingham, can once again be a catalyst for the community thanks to the support of Greenfingers who worked hard to reinvigorate the garden’s which were missing the care they usually received from our previous gardener who unfortunately is not able to continue.

We look forward to a partnership working with Greenfingers on a more regular basis and hopefully involve local residents to create a community garden space, which features increasingly in Social Prescribing (activities rather than Medication).

Thank you, Greenfingers for supporting this very hard to reach area and giving us something lovely to look at.”

We understand the importance of green spaces within a community and the positive impact it can have on peoples health and wellbeing as well as providing a safe nice space for everyone to enjoy and it’s for this reason we regularly get involved in projects that we know will make a difference.

We’re looking forward to continuing to work in partnership with Trident, maintaining the community centre outdoor space and working alongside the residents, delivering something they are proud of.
