Bringing communities together with Onward

We’re delighted to announce that we’re continuing our work with Onward Group Limited and have recently won a contract for additional ground maintenance work on their housing estates.
Our partnership with Onward has gone from strength to strength in the last 20 years. From first starting out, as a small contractor with only one depot in Blackburn, we have grown to cover all areas of the North. Likewise, Onward was just a small Housing Association but with our ambitious nature, we’ve grown together to both get where we are today.
The Greenfingers team currently provide grounds maintenance services from four depots to Onward Groups Housing Estates, covering Cheshire to Lancashire. With just two grounds maintenance providers working across all their sites, we’re responsible for 75% of the grounds maintenance work that is required for all housing estates. Worth up to £4million over 5 years, this new contract will include extensive works at the Rivers Estate in Whitefield.

We’re proud to support Onward in their journey “to make a positive difference in the communities we serve”. We’ll be conducting all the usual day to day grounds maintenance and winter services to all sites as well as providing a dedicated Contract Manager and team to carry out the work. Throughout the winter, the team have also serviced all estates providing snow clearance and gritting to ensure all residents were kept safe.
